TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Police Department has found a child who was reported missing on Monday.

Police said Elijah Cogdell was safely located and reunited with family.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who shared the information, remained vigilant, and offered their support during the search. Your willingness to help demonstrates the strength of our community and the positive impact we can make when we work together,” TPD said.

Cogdell was last seen around 1:15 p.m. on Monday in the area of North 10th Street and East Seward Street.

Cogdell, who is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 115 pounds, was wearing a blue shirt and black pants when he disappeared, according to authorities.

Investigators said Cogdell’s family is concerned about him, and detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating him.

Anyone who sees Cogdell is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130 and refer to case number 26-398428.
