ST. LUCIE COUNTY – St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating what is believed to be homicide of a man found floating in the water on Nov. 4 in the Taylor Creek Spillway in the 1800 block of North U.S. 1, Fort Pierce.
Deputies from the Patrol Operations Bureau responded about 10:30 a.m., to a report about a body seen floating in the water at the spillway, according to sheriff’s office reports.
Deputies recovered the body from the waterway and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
The man is described as Black with dreadlocks and investigators are working to confirm his identity.
