With temperatures already in the mid-80s early this morning and an afternoon high expected to reach 90 degrees, Key Biscayne residents may want to save the more strenuous outdoor activities for early or late in the day.
The National Weather Service in Miami has extended the Heat Advisory, warning that the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity could push the heat index to 105 degrees, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Skies will be mostly sunny this morning, with a few afternoon clouds. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. Winds will be out of the SSE at 10 to 15 mph.
