High temperatures are expected to soar into the 90s across Florida over the next few days.
Some cities across the state could see record highs on Thursday and Friday.

This heat is due to a mid-level ridge of high pressure and a large plume of Saharan Dust that’s settling overhead.
The dust is keeping the rain chances low as well.
Without the cloud coverage and rain that the rainy season brings, temperatures are able to rise.
The heat index will also easily reach the triple digits over the next few days.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect across the state for the remainder of Wednesday afternoon, and we are likely to see them get issued again over the next few days.
