TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A mobile home fire on Lynn Lane displaced seven people, including five children, early Tuesday morning in Tallahassee.

At about 5:14 a.m. on July 9, the Tallahassee Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Lynn Lane. Firefighters arrived within five minutes and found a single-wide mobile home with heavy smoke coming from the front left side of the structure.

Crews began with a defensive fire attack and later transitioned to interior operations as conditions improved. Firefighters completed a primary search and confirmed no occupants were inside.

The fire was brought under control, and the cause remains under investigation. Two adults and five children were displaced, and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.

Responding units included BC1, BC3, E16, E3, E6, FM1, and T16. The fire department was assisted by the Tallahassee Police Department, Leon County EMS, City of Tallahassee Utilities, and the American Red Cross.
