OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Thunderstorms Saturday knocked out power to thousands of homes across North Central Florida, downed trees and damaged at least one residence.
Ocala fire crews spent hours clearing roads following the storms and were still working to restore power to homes near damaged power lines. Crews shared a photo of one home with a large tree branch on its roof.
In Gainesville, downed trees blocked some intersections. 34th Street, near Zion Lutheran Church, was obstructed around 7 p.m.
