FORT PIERCE — From a patriotic art exhibition to book signings with local authors, the July Art Walk will showcase the creative side of downtown Fort Pierce on Friday, July 17.
The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance will host the monthly event from 5 to 8 p.m. at the 111 Orange Building.
The evening will feature light refreshments, music and the latest exhibition in The Vault Art Gallery, “US of Art: A Reflection of 250 Years.” The exhibition reflects on America’s rich cultural story through the lens of art, creativity and shared history.
Art Walk is the third Friday of each month, inviting residents and visitors to explore galleries, meet artists and discover downtown Fort Pierce.
Featured authors Angela Grogan, Jan Murphy and Doreen McGunagle will sign copies of their books throughout the evening.
Grogan is the author of The Fort at Indian River, A Soldier’s Story. Murphy wrote Understand the Color Wheel, Understand Color. And, McGunagle is the author of Parks and Preservation: A Fine Art Journey through 250 Years of America’s Conservation Legacy.
In addition to activities at the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance, a variety of galleries and businesses will be open for Art Walk, including 2nd Street Art, Lisa Jill Allison Art Gallery, Inner Voices Outer Vision and more.
