JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — A Jacksonville man is facing multiple charges after investigators said he assaulted a man and conspired with juveniles during an attack on the Fourth of July.
According to Jacksonville Police Department arrest records, Louis Hester, 20, of Jacksonville, was arrested on July 10 in connection with the July 4 incident.
Hester is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon, felony conspiracy, assault inflicting serious injury and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
According to charging documents, Hester is accused of assaulting a man by punching him in the head and kicking him.
The documents allege the victim suffered swelling and a concussion.
Investigators also allege Hester conspired with a 16-year-old juvenile to commit felony assault with a deadly weapon intended to kill or inflict serious bodily injury during the attack.
Charging documents further state Hester knowingly encouraged and aided a 16-year-old and a 13-year-old juvenile in committing acts that could result in them being adjudicated delinquent.
Online jail records show Hester is being held in the Onslow County Detention Center without bond.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday, July 13.
