Jacksonville teenager facing capital murder charge to be tried as an adult

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KATV) — A Jacksonville man wanted in connection to the shooting death of a 17-year-old has turned himself in, authorities said.

Martesse Jones turned himself in on a warrant issued for Capital Murder, the Jacksonville Police Department said in a post to the Facebook page.

This comes after a shooting on Spruce Street left a 17-year-old dead in late June.

Police say that Jones is being tried as an adult.
