INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A vehicle fire on Florida’s Turnpike in Indian River County has forced the partial closure of northbound lanes Monday morning.
The incident was reported before Mile Marker 174 at 8:16 a.m. According to Florida 511, the fire was classified as a major traffic event affecting motorists traveling through the area.
As of the latest Florida 511 update at 8:54 a.m., all northbound lanes remained closed while emergency crews responded to the scene. No information was immediately available regarding injuries or the cause of the fire.
