Charlotte County woman faces child cruelty, battery charges after court hearing

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A Charlotte County woman charged with aggravated battery and cruelty toward a child appeared before a judge Tuesday for a criminal status hearing.

Gwendolyn Joan Girard appeared July 14 before Judge Lisa S. Porter, according to a Charlotte County court record. The order was entered in Punta Gorda.

Girard faces two charges: aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability and cruelty toward a child/aggravated battery on a child.
