A passenger plane from the Bahamas was diverted to Jacksonville, with emergency vehicles seen on the tarmac.

A passenger plane headed to Atlanta was diverted to Jacksonville International Airport on Thursday.

The SkyWest flight took off from the Bahamas when it instead flew up the Florida Peninsula and landed in Jacksonville.

According to FlightAware, Skywest Flight 3723 took off around 1:30 p.m. and landed in Jacksonville around 3:30 p.m.

Video showed emergency vehicles on the tarmac.

Jacksonville Fire Department officials said a person on the plane had a non-life-threatening medical emergency, forcing the flight to land in Jacksonville.

In a statement, the FAA said a crew member became ill. The FAA statement also said the flight was bound for Orlando, although it was actually bound for Atlanta.

More details were not immediately available.
