We spent the night deep in the Florida Everglades alongside hunters competing in the state’s annual Python Challenge—and discovered just how tough it is to find one of these invasive snakes.
From spotlighting dark roads and dodging relentless mosquitoes to close encounters with alligators and other wildlife, this wasn’t just a snake hunt—it was a true Everglades adventure. And despite spending hours in prime python territory, we came home empty-handed.
