TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray News) – A married couple in Florida was killed nearly a week ago when a tree fell on their car during a storm.
The Tallahassee Police Department identified the victims as Patti Haller, 63, and Steve Haller, 65. Police said a large tree fell directly on the front seat area of their vehicle.
According to the couple’s online obituary, Patti and Steve Haller were married for 35 years and were “rarely seen apart.”
“Their lives were defined by a profound devotion to one another and their family,” the obituary said.
The couple is survived by their children and a grandchild.
According to the obituary, the family is asking for donations in the couple’s honor in lieu of flowers. The website shows the fund has raised more than $22,000.
