House fire under investigation in St. Lucie County

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Firefighters in St. Lucie County were on the scene of a house fire near Bellevue Avenue on Friday.

All occupants safely evacuated the home as firefighters with the St. Lucie County Fire District continued suppression and overhaul operations.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the St. Lucie County Fire Marshal’s Office.

The fire came as parts of the Treasure Coast were under severe thunderstorm warnings and reports of lightning.
