Two Tampa restaurants will host a three-night tequila dinner starting Thursday, July 23, and running through Saturday, July 25, at Rocca. The five-course meal will feature dishes from both Rocca and Streetlight Taco paired with tequila cocktails, mezcal cocktails, and Mexican wines.
Tickets cost $275 per person. Reservations open now through OpenTable, and the dinner begins at 7 p.m. each night.
According to That’s So Tampa, the menu includes bluefin crudo with aguachile, green strawberry, and Calabrian chile paired with Chateau Domecq Blanco from Valle de Guadalupe. Course two has tetela with taleggio, quesillo, black trumpet, and salsa negra accompanied by a shiitake- and porcini-infused reposado tequila.
Cappelletti with lamb barbacoa, charred onion, and salsa seca makes up the third course, served with Villa Montefiori Cabernet Sangiovese from Valle de Guadalupe. The fourth course brings short rib suadero with heirloom bean crema and bone marrow salsa borracha. It pairs with Chateau Domecq Tinto.
Dessert consists of olive oil tres leches with mezcal caramel, cinnamon and pine nut atole — a warm Mexican corn and pine nut drink sweetened with piloncillo and topped with cinnamon.
Both restaurants belong to the Tastes Pretty Good hospitality group. The Michelin-starred Rocca and Bib Gourmand Streetlight Taco are sister concepts under the same ownership, which opened its newest restaurant, Lumbre, on July 15.
The collaboration celebrates National Tequila Day. It offers menu items not available at either location during regular service, and organizers expect the event to sell out quickly.
Guests must select “experiences” on the OpenTable page or scroll down to find the pairing dinner reservation link. The dinner runs for three nights only.
