STUART ── A.C.T. Studio Theatre, the community theater known for its thought-provoking theatrical productions, has announced an ambitious 12-show lineup for the 2026-27 season.

The intimate theatre opens its 13th season Sept. 4 with Neil Simon’s hilarious romantic fable “Fools.”

Next up is “An Inspector Calls,” a Hitchcockian suspense drama written by J.B. Priestly, runs Oct. 2-18.

Also in October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the theater will present a special one-weekend staging of “God Bless Roy Campenella.” This is a gripping, one-woman drama written by playwright Tom Flannery, and based on real life events. It runs Oct 23-25.

Terrence McNally’s drama “Mothers and Sons, runs Nov. 6 – 22.

“Every Christmas Story Ever Told and then Some” kicks off the holiday season, running Dec. 3- 14. The fast-paced comedy spoofs international holiday traditions, pop-culture favorites and holiday classics. Santa’s legitimacy is questioned in the comedy so it may not be suitable for young believers.

Arthur Miller’s classic “Death of a Salesmen” kicks of the new year, running Jan 8-24, 2027.

“I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” a hilarious musical revue exploring the chaotic rollercoaster of modern relationships runs Jan. 28-31, 2027.

The Pulitzer Prize winning “Driving Miss Daisy” runs Feb. 5-21, 2027.

Take a trip back to the 1930s and the Golden Age of Hollywood with the Tony Award winning comedy, “A Day in Hollywood/ A Night in Ukraine,” which runs March 12-28, 2027.

“Painting Churches,” a poignant humorous drama about a daughter and her aging parents, runs April 9 – 25, 2027.

It’s the fifth year for A.C.T.’s “Designer Shorts,” a festival of original short plays written by local and Florida-based playwrights. “Designer Shorts 5” runs May 7-16, 2027.

Closing out the season is “The Cottage” by Sandy Rustin. The riotous romantic farce will run June 11-27, 2027.

Tickets are on sale now. Individual show tickets are $28 for dramas and $38 for comedies plus a $1 ticketing fee and tax.

Season tickets, for all12 shows, can be purchased for $300. An 8-show package provides a 15% discount and allows you to select your preferences.
