
Fort Lauderdale police are investigating the death of a bicyclist whose body was found on West Commercial Boulevard Monday morning, July 20, 2026, as a possible hit-and-run.

Fort Lauderdale police say that a man found dead on West Commercial Boulevard Monday morning was struck by a car while riding his bicycle and is likely the victim of a hit-and-run.
Officers arrived where the body was found at the 2600 block of West Commercial Boulevard around 8:15 a.m., police said. The department has not named the man or released his age.
The department is asking anyone with information on the incident to call 954-764-4357 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
