11 arrested in JSO drug operation at Jacksonville motel linked to repeated criminal activity

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says 11 people have been arrested following a months-long undercover investigation at a Brentwood-area motel.

Police say their investigation into drug sales at the Metro Inn on Golfair Boulevard began in January 2026. Over several months, undercover detectives purchased synthetic drugs known as “Flakka” from individuals selling out of the motel.

JSO says 11 people were arrested and two additional arrest warrants are pending. Those arrested include:

Marquis Williams, 38

Kayla Dixon, 32

Daniel White, 21

Waymond Hamilton, 32

Tiffany Charles, 37

Michael Handy, 37

Alea Smith, 31

Shatoria Harrison, 36

Troyane Pinkard, 48

Prior to this investigation, JSO says officers responded to repeated calls for service at the motel involving drug activity, violence, thefts, and other criminal behavior.
