The United States will honor those who have fought for our country’s freedoms in multiple Veterans Day parades and events on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Florida and Georgia are planning on showing honor and gratitude with multiple events around the area.

Parades & EventsJacksonville’s Veterans Day Parade (Duval County): “As the proud host of Florida’s largest Veterans Day Parade, Jacksonville holds special events leading up to Veterans Day that include family festivals, tall ship tours, military appreciation luncheons and special speakers. The parade is a patriotic spectacle that includes senior military officials, active-duty and retired military units, veteran groups, local high school marching bands, ornamental floats and much more! Enjoy the parade this year on Nov. 11, 2025, at 11:01 am.” Feel free to bring some chairs, blankets, snacks and drinks for the event.Veterans Day Parade route 2025 (Provided by city of Jacksonville)UNF Veterans Tribute (Duval County)– “UNF hosts the annual Veterans Tribute Ceremony recognizing the service, sacrifice and contributions of veterans, service members and military families within the UNF community and throughout Northeast Florida. This event is free and open to the public.” The event will start at 11 a.m. on Nov. 7, 2025, at the University of North Florida, Veterans Plaza in front of the John A. Delaney Student Union. Atlantic Beach Veterans Day Tribute (Duval County)– “Join the City of Atlantic Beach in honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. This annual ceremony brings the community together to recognize the sacrifices and service of our nation’s veterans through heartfelt tributes, guest speakers, and patriotic reflection.” The event will be on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Beaches Veterans Memorial Park.Heroes on the Water (Duval County)– Spend a morning on the water with Heroes On The Water next Saturday, Nov. 8, for a special fishing and kayaking outing alongside veterans, first responders, and volunteers in honor of Veterans Day. The event is from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Browns Creek Fish Camp on Heckscher Drive.Veterans Breakfast (Clay County)– “The City of Keystone Heights is hosting a Veterans Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025. An opportunity to honor local veterans and their families. Featuring guest speakers, this is a free event. Please call 352-473-4807 or stop by City Hall to register.” The event will be on Nov. 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Historic Keystone Pavilion. The City of Keystone Heights is hosting a Veterans Breakfast on Friday November 7th, 2025 (City of Keystone Heights)3rd Annual VET FEST (Clay County)– “Join us for a day of music, camaraderie, and tastings as we raise money for Whiskey Valor Foundation, a nonprofit that helps veterans in need.” The event will be on Nov. 8, 2025, from 12-6 p.m. at 1824 Town Center Blvd. Unit 101, Fleming Island, FL 32003. The day’s events will kick off with the 3rd Annual Veterans Parade to honor the men and women who bravely served in the country’s military. Free entree for active-duty military and veterans at Vicious Biscuit in Neptune Beach: Vicious Biscuit is honoring those who serve with a free entrée for all veterans and active-duty military on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11. The Southern-born breakfast favorite is also extending its appreciation year-round with a 20% discount for military and first responders as part of the company’s ongoing gratitude for those who protect and serve our communities. Wayback Burgers in Brunswick, Ga., to donate on Veterans Day: Wayback Burgers, which has a local location at 710 Glynn Isle in Brunswick, will donate 10% of all app and online sales on Tuesday to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization committed to recognizing the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s military personnel and first responders. All proceeds will support the foundation’s various programs and directly benefit our nation’s heroes and their families.

Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores offer discount for veterans, active-duty service members: Veterans and active-duty service members can take advantage of an 11% discount on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, at all Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie locations. Customers with valid military or veteran identification can receive the discount on qualifying grocery purchases. Excludes sales tax, alcohol, lottery tickets & gift cards. Free admission to Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens: Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens and VyStar Credit Union are proud to honor those who have served our country by offering free admission on Tuesday, Nov. 11, to all active-duty military members and veterans for Veterans Day. Complimentary admission into the zoo will be available with a military or veteran ID card.
