TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Faith leaders and police sat down over breakfast for a conversation aimed at reducing violence and strengthening community safety.
The Tallahassee Police Department participated in “United for Peace: A Breakfast Conversation with Pastors and Police,” an event hosted by the Capital Area Justice Ministry. The gathering brought together faith leaders, law enforcement, elected officials, educators, nonprofit leaders and community members for discussions focused on reducing violence.
Organizers said the conversations were designed to create space for participants to listen, share ideas and identify practical ways to make the community safer. The event also emphasized building strong relationships, shared responsibility and a commitment to move from conversation to action.
