ORLANDO, Fla. — The year is 1928. There’s some stuff going on, and you need to help solve a murder.
The newest show with a “whodunnit” vibe is now in Orlando. It’s called Speakeasy Murder Mystery Dinner Show, just off International Drive.
Performer Alexis Turner gets to channel Carmen, the up-and-coming star of a New York nightclub during the roaring 20s. “She’s pretty young and youthful, so she gets kind of a more forward accent here,” Turner said, theatrically. “She’s very nasally.”
The “Speakeasy Murder & Other Acts of Prohibition” room buzzes with bootleggers, gangsters and flappers. Expect to interact with members of the cast within this space at The Jewel, adjacent to Teatro Martini. The pre-show starts 90 minutes prior.
The Speakeasy Murder is family-friendly, rated PG-13.
Showtimes are select days and nights at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m at Teatro Martini at 6400 Carrier Drive. And come hungry — it is a dinner show. Tickets start at $51.52.
