Port St. Lucie, FL (November 4, 2025) – Authorities have identified the man who tragically lost his life after being struck by a car while riding an electric scooter on Halloween morning. According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD), the victim has been identified as 49-year-old Victor Santiago.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, as Santiago was traveling north through SE Crosstown Parkway on an electric scooter. A 2021 Mercedes collided with the scooter, causing Santiago to be ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders arrived on scene and transported him to St. Lucie Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. At this time, the cause of the collision remains under active investigation. PSLPD is urging any witnesses to come forward and contact Officer Keith Applebaum with any relevant information.
