TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Bertha’s rain bands were no match for our Furry Friday pups and the volunteers who walk them! These pups enjoyed walking in the rain and one even ducked under our umbrella!
WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center team up each week to spotlight four adoptable dogs in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever homes faster!
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET SAMBA
Samba is ready to charm his way onto your couch and into your heart.(WCTV)
Meet Samba!
Samba is a hard body with blonde hair and green eyes and is ready to charm his way onto your couch and into your heart.
Samba enjoys couch surfing more than walking. He’ll happily join you for a short stroll, but don’t get carried away.
This guy has a mile wide smile and will cover you in kisses.
Samba was brought in with 14 other dogs whose owner was overwhelmed and couldn’t properly care for all of them.
Samba is not camera shy, in fact, he’s not shy at all! He’s starting to come out of his shell and shine! and he’d love to do that in a family with another dog to pal around with.

MEET BANE
Bane is a happy dog with a happy tail and even a sudden downpour couldn’t dampen his spirits!(WCTV)

Bane is a happy dog with a happy tail and even a sudden downpour couldn’t dampen his spirits!
We ran full speed in the rain! and when the rain took a turn toward torrential – Bane simply planted himself at our feet -happy to stand under our umbrella!
Just like the song says he is looking for a family who will take care of him through all kinds of weather.
Bane is a boxer mix who is hoping somewhere out there, there is a family who will fall in love with his goofy, speckly self!

MEET MULDER
Mulder appears to be a snuggling specialist … and he could really use some hugs right now!(WCTV)

This boy is easy going and gentle and initially not so sure about our camera.
It didn’t take long for Mulder to warm up though, just a few hugs and head scratches and he was good to go!
Mulder appears to be a snuggling specialist … and he could really use some hugs right now. He was adopted recently but then returned because his owner was inured in an accident and facing surgery followed by a long recovery.
Mulder is hoping that case of bad timing can be followed by a case of perfect timing – the chance to become a loyal, loving companion to a loyal, loving family!

MEET OSO
Oso is looking for a fur-ever family who will indulge his endless love of squeaky toys!(WCTV)
Meet Oso!
This little guy pegs the cuteness meter!
Oso was brought in by animal control along with four other dogs whose owner could not take care of them.
He is looking for a fresh start and a family who can satisfy his endless love of squeaky toys!
Oso is into eye contact and back scratches and checks to make sure you are keeping pace and staying close on walks.

MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
You can walk through the kennels Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

We are thrilled to share that one of the dogs recently featured on Furry Friday was just adopted and four more were transported to rescues up north with the promise of a fur-ever family there.
