Rain chances soar as moisture deepens over the area.
ORLANDO, Fla. – Deep moisture moves into Central Florida ahead of a stalled frontal boundary, supercharging our sea breeze with instability for storms Sunday afternoon.
A plethora of thunderstorms are expected across the area Sunday afternoon, especially areas east of I-4.
Plentiful storm coverage is expected just after lunchtime as a front slides southward. Storms will begin to pop up along the I-75 corridor just after lunchtime. Storm chances move from west to east, riding our westerly winds. I-4 begins filling in with storms around 1-2pm, then shower chances favor areas east of I-4 towards the beaches mid-afternoon into early evening as our sea breeze gets pinned near I-95. Highs will hit the mid 90s with heat indices between 105-110ºF. Heat advisories are possible once again Sunday afternoon.

High rain chances linger into next week as high moisture lingers over Central Florida. Higher than normal rain chances are expected throughout the upcoming work week as deep moisture remains over the state through Friday.
