Magic Leap, the Broward County-based pioneer in augmented reality devices, has informed the state of Florida it intends to lay off 193 people as part of a major organizational shift.
The company, which was founded in 2010 and maintains a campus at 7500 W. Sunrise Blvd. in Plantation, said in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice to Florida Commerce that the permanent terminations will become effective Oct. 1.
