Key Biscayne residents should keep an umbrella handy as thunderstorms, some capable of producing locally heavy rainfall, move across the Island this morning. Conditions are expected to improve this afternoon, although a few showers may linger. Rainfall totals between a quarter and a half inch are possible, with a 70% chance of rain.
Today’s high will be near 85 degrees, with heat index values reaching 103 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Miami. Winds will be out of the west-southwest at 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: A few passing clouds with a low near 80 degrees. West-southwest winds at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds with a high near 89 degrees and southwest winds at 10 to 20 mph.
