MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A Secret Service employee has been placed on administrative leave after officials say he and two others were arrested in a hazing case that hospitalized victims.

According to CBS News Miami, the suspects were identified as 29-year-old Marquez Pinder, 26-year-old Jared Lamar James, and 29-year-old Elijah Delano Dyous. Prosecutors allege that the hazing was severe enough to require hospitalization.

Pinder, a U.S. Secret Service employee, is now on administrative leave.

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, and Sweetwater Police Chief Sergio Diez announced the arrests.

“The United States Secret Service takes seriously any criminal allegations involving one of our employees,” Miami Field Office Special Agent in Charge Michael Townsend said in a statement obtained by CBS News Miami. “As the agent in charge of the Miami Field Office, I have been informed that a local law enforcement agency is investigating one of our employees. We are fully cooperating with the investigation.”
