ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Tampa Bay transportation leaders announced a new premium transit vehicle route called 727 that will connect downtown St. Pete and Tampa International Airport.
The route will take passengers to and from the airport using the Howard Frankland Bridge Express Lanes. Leaders from PSTA and Tampa International Airport said the service marks a significant milestone for travel between Pinellas County and TPA.
“For the more than 25 million passengers that we serve each and every year, this route will mean easier access to Pinellas County, to downtown St. Pete, and to our beautiful beaches that we have within this region,” Tampa International Airport CEO Michael Stephens said.
The line will have nine stops and operate seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The 727 route is expected to launch in October.
