ST. LUCIE COUNTY – Prosecutors have dropped charges against an 18-year-old Fort Pierce man, accused of shooting a 17-year-old girl on June 2.
Prosecutors dropped the attempted second-degree murder charge on July 8 against Jah’shaun Lebron Crosby, who was arrested by Fort Pierce Police for allegedly shooting a 17-year-old girl.
On June 2, Fort Pierce Police officers responded to a shooting in the 500 block of North 19th Street, Fort Pierce where the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Assistant State Attorney Steven Paku, who submitted paperwork dropping the charge against Crosby, did not give a reason, according to court documents.
Crosby was released on July 8, a jail spokesperson said.
