Broward County voters will decide key primary and nonpartisan races on Aug. 18, 2026, including school board, congressional and statewide offices. Below is our list of candidates appearing on ballots across Broward County, along with key voting deadlines and voter information.
Voter registration: The deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation for has passed for the primary election. The deadline to register for the Nov. 3 general election is Monday, Oct. 5.
Mail-in ballots: Although vote-by-mail ballots are already being sent out, voters have until 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, to request one. Mail-in ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, to the Supervisor of Elections’ main office at 4650 NW 21st Ave. in Fort Lauderdale or by 5 p.m. at a permanent branch office in the county.
Early voting: Voters may cast their ballots in person from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 8 through Aug. 16 at these locations in Broward County:
Election Day: Polls open on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
