Travelers and employees at Miami International Airport are breathing easier as they make their way through the global gateway, thanks to the airport’s deployment of C-POLAR™’s patented NanoFlashing™ technology, making MIA the first airport in the U.S. to implement a dual-layer air quality strategy combining localized InHalo™ air cleaning units with VOLZ NanoFlashing™ HVAC filtration. Together, these complementary platforms enhance indoor environmental quality across designated areas of MIA’s North Terminal D.

Testing in both passenger terminal and airport office areas demonstrated that the C-POLAR™ InHalo™ art-integrated air cleaners and supporting air filtration technologies reduced airborne particulates and bioaerosols by more than 75%, prompting MIA to install 50 InHalo™ units in waiting rooms and work areas for employee ID credentialing, maintenance and security staff, and MIA executives earlier this year. Another 100 units will be deployed across targeted passenger and employee areas across MIA by the end of 2026. The initiative utilizes C-POLAR™’s patented NanoFlashing™ technology through both the InHalo™ art-integrated air cleaners and VOLZ NanoFlashing™ filters.

Ted Venners, Chief Executive Officer, C-POLAR™ Technologies, said: “We commend Miami International Airport for its vision and leadership in adopting C-POLAR™’s patented NanoFlashing™ technology through two complementary deployment platforms. By integrating NanoFlashing™ technology into both InHalo™ art-integrated air cleaners and VOLZ NanoFlashing™ Filters, MIA is demonstrating how a layered deployment strategy can enhance indoor environmental quality while creating a scalable model for airports and other large public facilities.”
