WASHINGTON (TNND) — Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at American forces stationed in the Middle East on Tuesday, according to the U.S. military. The missiles ended the short pause in the war between the U.S. and Iran as mediators worked towards a ceasefire.
U.S. Central Command shared that all Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted. They added that U.S. forces remained “vigilant and at a high state of readiness.”
Both the U.S. and Iran saw a short period of calm, with neither side attacking for days after tensions over the Strait of Hormuz escalated.
Tehran did not immediately comment on the situation.
