Stuart man arrested after leading police on chase, crashing into another vehicle
STUART, Fla. —
A Stuart man is facing multiple charges after police said he led officers on a chase through Stuart and Martin County Tuesday night.

According to the Stuart Police Department, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on July 28 for an equipment violation after learning the registered owner’s driver’s license had been revoked.
Police said the driver did not stop and instead sped away, leading officers on a brief pursuit through the city. During the chase, investigators said the suspect crashed into another vehicle and continued driving out of Stuart.
Authorities said the driver continued driving recklessly into Martin County, where deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol joined the pursuit.
The vehicle was eventually stopped, and the driver surrendered without further incident, according to police.
The driver was identified as 31-year-old David Kingsley Jr. He was arrested and charged by Stuart Police with fleeing and eluding law enforcement and leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage.

Additional charges were filed by the Florida Highway Patrol and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Stuart police thanked the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol for their assistance in bringing the pursuit to a safe end.
