Nearly three months after a shooting in North Lauderdale killed a 19-year-old, an arrest warrant has been issued for a fifth suspect.
On May 8 about 1 a.m., a 911 caller reported a shooting near the 7900 block of Southwest Seventh Court. Deputies and North Lauderdale Fire Rescue found O’Mari Doe, 19, shot multiple times inside of a 2020 Ford Mustang, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a news release at the time. A second man who was shot one time, Maurice Vorroto, 20, of Coconut Creek, was found outside the car.
Doe was taken by helicopter to Broward Health North, where he was pronounced dead, the Sheriff’s Office previously said. Vorroto was taken to the same hospital and survived.
In less than an hour after the shooting, two young men and two teenage boys were arrested in the shooting. On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office said Matthew Holloway has been identified as a fifth suspect, and his location is unknown.

The two men previously arrested, Aamir Adams, 19, and Anthony Adams, 18, are held in the Broward Main Jail.
The teens arrested were Amari Adams, 16, and Ro’manye Smith, 17, court records show. Amari Adams and Smith were 15 and 16 respectively when they were arrested and are charged as adults. They are held in the Paul Rein Detention Facility.
Aamir and Anthony Adams, along with the two teens, arrived together in the residential area in North Lauderdale in a black Honda Accord the night of the shooting, the Sheriff’s Office said. Doe, Vorroto and two others were inside a Ford Mustang as the suspects got out of the Honda, shot multiple times into the Mustang and drove away from the area.
Vorroto told deputies while at the hospital that he and a group of friends had been at a bowling alley in Sunrise until it closed at midnight and were in the North Lauderdale neighborhood dropping a friend off when the Honda pulled up and blocked the Mustang in, according to a probable cause affidavit.
He told deputies he saw five people get out of the Honda, all holdings guns, the affidavit said. The men started arguing with him, asking for two specific people inside the Mustang to get out. Within one minute, the suspect started shooting into the car.
At least 13 spent shell casings were found near the passenger side of the Mustang, which had multiple bullet holes, the affidavit said.
The surviving victim told deputies he knew one of the suspects — his cousin, Anthony Adams, with whom he had recently had an argument about money. Some of the others in the car were Anthony Adams’ relatives, according to the affidavit.
A be-on-the-lookout alert for the Honda was sent to other police departments, and the Adamses and the two teens were arrested in Fort Lauderdale after an officer chased the Honda in the 900 block of Southwest 13th Street.
There is an active arrest warrant for Holloway on charges of first-degree murder and multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, the Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
Amari Adams, Anthony Adams and Smith have pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder with a firearm and multiple counts of attempted murder, court records show. Aamir Adams has not yet entered a plea to the same charges.
