HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Tampa man accused of driving with a suspended license was arrested Tuesday after deputies said they caught him making “dangerous” lane changes and found drugs in his car.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said deputies stopped a driver on West Waters Avenue and JR Manor Drive in Tampa after watching him make “dangerous” lane changes without signaling.
During the traffic stop, deputies discovered that the driver, identified as 36-year-old Richard Coto, had a suspended license with two prior convictions for driving with a suspended license.

When asked why he was driving like that, Coto told the deputy he was “late for work.”
“Do you want to go to work at all?” the deputy asked. “If you crash and kill yourself…”
While searching the car, deputies said they found marijuana and cocaine.
Coto was arrested and charged.
