The Zitz Sum folks have a new summer pop-up. It’s an outdoor bar surrounded by several couches and tables on the lawn of Plaza Coral Gables. Their very small menu has empanadas, oysters, bikini sandwiches, and charcuterie boards. But the main draw is the cocktails, specifically their frozen paloma. It’s pink, colder than a divorce attorney’s email, and a little sweeter than your typical paloma. This is an outdoor pop-up, so check the weather before you go. Or you could take a note from the children running around the lawn and dunk your head into the fountain to cool off. You’ll see some folks from the Loews hotel unwinding with buckets of beer and bottles of champagne after conference room meetings. But it’s also a good place for neighborhood parents to let their wiggly kids loose to make friends on the lawn while they have a few Negronis and sangrias.
