Tampa historians have been talking about “The George” after the city announced plans to restore West Tampa’s historic George Guida Sr. House. The music-loving slice of those nerds might want to check out a band that shares a moniker.

The George celebrates the release of Dog Days, a new album propelled by the bouncy, party-starting sound of new single “Lil Bo Peep,” which is perfect for fans of The Nude Party and even Twin Peaks. 

Tickets to see The George, The Pleasantries, The Tilt, Fly Trap, and Kingsley III at Orpheum in Tampa on Thursday, Aug. 6 are still available and start at $20.97.
