Cape Coral’s 6th Annual PRIDE Celebration parade took place on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The two-day celebration, hosted by PRIDE Cape Coral, takes place along SE 47th Terrace in the downtown area, between SE 9th Place & SE 11th Place.
Overnight accommodations are available at The Hideaway, with rooms offered to sponsors first and any remaining availability released to the public.
When did festival begin
Local nonprofit Pride-SWFL started the festival in 2009 and has held it for years at Fort Myers’ Alliance for the Arts. The LGBTQ organization eventually decided to move the festival to downtown.
Pride festivals began to help raise awareness about the LGBTQ community and give people a safe, loving place to be themselves in public.
