TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — Three women are accused of armed robbery at an Extended Stay America hotel in Tampa, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
HCSO says that on July 23, 2026, the victim met Angelina Johnson, 20, at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino before returning to his hotel. Once there, Johnson, along with Mario Dejournett, 22, and Tyrik Griffin, also 22, confronted the victim, and robbed him of his jewelry and wallet. The three suspects fled the scene shortly after.

Later, HCSO says that the trio of thieves were arrested by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Robbery with a firearm.
“This was a coordinated, violent crime that left the victim shaken and robbed at gunpoint,” Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Thanks to the diligent work of our detectives and the assistance of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, all three suspects have been identified and taken into custody. We remain committed to holding violent offenders accountable and ensuring they face justice.”
