A man was arrested Friday hours after a shooting at a shopping plaza in Wilton Manors that injured a woman, police said.
Officers were called to the shopping center at 2727 North Andrews Ave. shortly after 5 a.m., where they found a woman who had been shot in the leg, Wilton Manors Police said in a news release.
They began treating the woman there, and she was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. The shooter drove away from the scene in a white four-door car, according to the police department.
Nearly 12 hours after the shooting, Wilton Manors Police announced they arrested Selvin Daniel Nunez Bonilla, 20. He had not been booked into the jail as of Friday evening.
The woman who was shot remained at Broward Health Medical Center as of late Friday afternoon, the police department said.
Additional information about the circumstances of the shooting and the investigation leading to the arrest have not been released.
