PORT ST. LUCIE – The investigation continues into what Port St. Lucie Police say appears to be a domestic-related shooting which happened on Aug. 1 in the 2000 block of Southeast Oxmoor Terrace, Port St. Lucie.
At about 7:40 p.m., officers responded to that address after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting possible gunshots and a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was airlifted to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased, according to police reports.
In addition, officers found a man, who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police have not yet released the names of the man or the woman.
The incident appears to be an isolated, domestic-related shooting and there is no known threat to the public.
This remains an active investigation.
