While it may be the Orlando Family Stage’s 101st year, the centennial celebrations are still in effect with a new season of shows. This 2026–2027 season is nothing less than stacked with performances.

The season’s opening show will premiere Sept. 17 – 19 and is titled “Havana Hop.” This interactive production is written and performed by Paige Hernandez and focuses on young Yeila as she embraces her Cuban heritage through hip-hop, salsa and audience participation. 

Then, the world premiere of “The Best Halloween Ever” will debut Oct. 5 and run through Nov. 1. This new adaptation of Barbara Robinson’s novel will focus on the Herdman family as they return in a hilarious and heartfelt Halloween adventure.

Following that is the Stage’s signature production, “A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live On Stage,” which runs Nov. 16 – Dec. 27.  This will be the first time the Peanuts gang will perform to Vince Guaraldi’s jazz score.

The season resumes in the new year with “Pete the Cat’s Big Hollywood Adventure.” The show begins Feb. 1 and runs through Feb. 28. This rock-and-roll musical focuses on Pete and Callie finding themselves lost in a movie studio where they discover dinosaurs, treasure maps and robots. 

On Feb. 27, the company will host the Second Florida Children’s Book Festival. The event is free and welcomes nationally recognized children’s authors, illustrators, educators and performers. There will be a full day of author talks, performances, interactive experiences and book discoveries. 

Another world premiere will be in March, which has not yet been revealed. The only hints are that it’s “inspired by beloved characters known for spreading care, friendship, joy, and imagination” and that its world debut will be at Orlando Family Stage before touring nationally.

Wrapping up the season is “Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Mu(Sequel),” which runs April 5 – May 9. The world’s taco supply has disappeared, and it is up to Robbie, Kod, and their dragon friends to embark on a time-traveling adventure filled with music, imagination and tacos.  

The Stage’s Youth Academy will also put on staged productions of “Disney’s Camp Rock: The Musical” from December 4 to 6, 2026, and “Trolls The Musical Jr.” from April 30 to May 2, 2027. 

Orlando Family Stage said all productions will include one relaxed, one audio-described, and one American Sign Language–interpreted performance for audience accessibility.
