Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a person whose body was found floating in a canal in Dania Beach on Monday morning, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
Just after 11 a.m., someone called 911 to report the body in a canal near the 1400 block of Northwest Eight Street in Dania Beach, the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Deputies and the Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit responded to investigate, as well as Homicide Unit detectives. The investigation is ongoing.
The person who was found was an adult. The Sheriff’s Office has not released other identifying information about the person, including gender.
