JSO investigators said the shooting happened just before 4:30 a.m. in the 5500 block of Soutel Drive near Washington Estates Drive.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead after a shooting on Soutel Drive near Washington Estates Drive early Monday morning, according to investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
According to JSO investigators, officers responded to the 5500 block of Soutel Drive around 4:30 a.m. this morning to calls of a person shot. Officers found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead.
Investigators are still working to learn what led to the shooting, and JSO said the classification of the shooting is still pending.
