The Education Fund has announced a charitable gift of $10,000 from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation.
The funds will support the awarding of 10 $1,000 scholarships to 2026 high school graduates pursuing degrees at seven Miami-Dade Career & Technical Colleges. Graduates across Suncoast Credit Union’s 25-county service area will have the opportunity to apply for this financial assistance, helping them take the next step in continuing their education and building career-ready skills.

“Suncoast Credit Union’s generous $10,000 gift is a powerful investment in the potential of our students,” said Linda Lecht, president of The Education Fund. “The support allows The Education Fund to expand opportunities, remove barriers, and equip scholars with the tools they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
“For the students who will benefit, this gift represents encouragement, belief, and a brighter pathway toward their goals. We are deeply grateful for Suncoast Credit Union’s commitment to empowering the next generation,” Lecht added.
Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, founded the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to promote the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the community. Each time a Suncoast member uses hi or her debit or credit card, the credit union donates four cents to the Foundation to fund local initiatives. Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation has raised and donated more than $61 million.
