WEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – Authorities were conducting an investigation at a shopping plaza in West Miami-Dade.

7News cameras captured a heavy presence of Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies near a Wells Fargo branch on the corner of Southwest Eighth Street and 122nd Avenue, just after 6 a.m. on Friday.

While the bank was cordoned off by crime scene tape, the deputies’ investigation was centered around a gray car in the parking lot. On the ground nearby were evidence markers.

Detectives were seen laying out pieces of clothing next to the evidence markers and using their flashlights to look for evidence in a tree and a bush off to the side as several bystanders stood nearby.

Deputies were also seen taking a group of men to the CVS pharmacy across the street, but it’s unclear why. Those men walked back and were sitting here in the parking lot.

Cameras earlier captured a man being taken to the hospital, but it’s unknown whether or not he came under fire.

The scene cleared by 7 a.m. Detectives have not provided details about what unfolded at this shopping plaza, as they continue to investigate.

If you have any information that could help this investigation, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
