Man accused of stealing thousands of dollars in baby formula across South Florida
PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. —
A South Florida man is facing an organized retail theft charge after investigators linked him to a series of baby formula thefts at stores across multiple Florida counties.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit filed in Palm Beach County, Vincent Michael Capone, 35, is accused of taking part in 13 thefts between November 2025 and January 2026. Detectives say the thefts targeted baby formula sold at Publix, CVS and Walmart stores in Palm Beach, Broward, Collier and Osceola counties.

Court documents show the investigation was conducted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office along with other law enforcement agencies. Investigators said they identified Capone through surveillance videos, witness statements and other evidence gathered during the case.
Detectives said Capone was often seen entering stores with a shopping cart and reusable bags before allegedly loading them with baby formula and leaving without paying. Authorities said he was connected to thefts that resulted in significant losses for the retailers.
Investigators said Capone was identified in incidents at stores in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Lake Worth Beach and West Palm Beach, along with locations in Broward, Collier and Osceola counties.
The affidavit states that detectives connected the cases through surveillance footage, clothing, shoes and a reusable tote bag that were allegedly seen in multiple incidents.
Authorities also noted that Capone was arrested by the Boynton Beach Police Department in February 2026 on unrelated charges. Detectives later attempted to interview him about the retail theft investigation, but the affidavit states he declined to give a statement.
Authorities are seeking an arrest warrant charging Capone with organized retail theft.
