The Miami Dolphins made a flurry of moves late Friday afternoon.
Miami signed safety Tanner Wall and claimed cornerback Ahmari Harvey off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers while also waiving quarterback Mark Gronowski and safety Omar Brown.
The move to get rid of Gronowski should come as no surprise to anyone who has attended Dolphins training camp. Despite his athleticism, he wasn’t that accurate and had a penchant for turnovers. Brown, meanwhile, had suffered an unknown injury, according to the franchise. Both players had extremely short stints in Miami with Gronowski joining the team in early May and Brown coming in January.
An undrafted free agent, Wall initially signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in late April. The former BYU standout started 30 games across his career and racked up several honors including being named a captain in 2025. He recorded 147 total tackles, seven interceptions, nine passes deflections and one forced fumble.
Harvey was another undrafted free agent who initially signed with the Denver Broncos where he spent part of the offseason program. He later joined the Steelers for training camp. The Tallahassee, Fla. native spent four seasons at Georgia Tech where he made 27 starts. Harvey accumulated 121 total tackles, four picks, 28 passes deflections as well as forced and recovered a pair of fumbles.
