Horse reported missing after theft from pasture in Port St. Lucie
St. Lucie Sheriff’s Office asks for helping finding 2-year-old.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office wants the public’s help locating a missing American Paint Horse believed to have been stolen from its owner’s pasture in Port St. Lucie.
“Every detail could help bring Strait from Above home safely,” the agency posted Saturday on Facebook.
The 2-year-old stallion was last seen at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday at 2801 Williams Road near St. Lucie West and west of Interstate 95 in a rural area.

Distinctive features include a white forelock and mane with a black and white tail, pinto coat with distinctive black and white spots.
“We are asking residents, property owners, horse enthusiasts, agricultural communities, and anyone who may have seen or been offered a horse matching this description to take a close look at the identifying information and report any potential sightings or information to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office at (772) 462-7300 or submit a tip by email at PatrolTips@stluciesheriff.com,” the agency said.
The breed, which is used in equestrian disciplines, typically stands 56-64 inches and weighs between 950 and 1,200 pounds, according to the American Paint Horse Association.
